Blossom Brief
Each spring, two trees in blushing bloom
Explode in pink outside our room—
A silent spark, a petal plume,
Soft secrets carried in perfume.
They shine, then dim—their moment fleet—
As children chase with racing feet.
They toss the petals in retreat,
Their laughter rising, pure and sweet.
Yet beauty lingers in the loss,
A quiet hush where branches cross.
We watch the fading bloom emboss
A trace of joy, a gentle gloss.
But still, they bloom—year after year—
With stitched-up hope, defying fear.
Through storms they rise, through skies unclear—
Two dreams in blossom, brief but dear.
