We left High Wycombe at 8-45 am.
Altogether there was 10 participants and also another agreed 9 people dropped last minute due to illness (Covid precautions !!)

The journey to London was quite slow and took just over 2 hours .
The weather was a bit unpredictable, rain showers and rainbows ,captured on camera with Big Ben and London Eye in tow.

The security to enter was quite strict and we were well searched
Max was our tour guide, he effortlessly took us around from the Hall to the central octagon shape heart of the building ,this is where we were not allowed to take pictures, the commons were in sitting and in debate, so we did not venture into the sacred area of democratic Chambers.

Instead  we went around the splendid and  awesome  ante Chambers , eventually  we ended up in the Lords or peers chamber,( today there was no sittings) .
Max gave us about 900 years of history in the guided tour a consummate professional. This was to be his last tour as a guide as he is to become the supervisor of the whole visiting and guidance system.

We purchased many great items from the shop and admired the newly erected Street lantern on our exit in memory of Queen Elizabeth’s 2 platinum celebrations back in May.

We took our well earned lunch on the green and around Westminster Abbey and took in all the statues and atmosphere only London can offer.

We got caught in a sharp shower heading towards our coach to take us on our safe journey home, we were excited to see all the different dimension, bustle and hustle on the return trip

We had a splendid, educational and thoroughly enjoyable day and would love to do it all again soon .

Thank you !!
