A hot day, a hot stove – Peppers, onions, garlic cloves
Preparation done by all – The children had a ball
Heat up the burners – Safety tips for the learners
Get it in the pan – Raw ingredients, not the can
The waste was considered- Environmental aspect nicely delivered
Tuck into the food – Hungry, eager
All cuisine expert in the cooking mood
Basil not faulty : Interactive session with young people
The basil was on view – Some youngsters already had a green clue
1,2,3,4 strands can make more – No soil left on the floor
The pots were earthed up – Watering delivered from the cup
Green shoots aplenty – Basil’s few became twenty
The hints and tips confessed – Time to clean up the mess
On the windowsills ready to grow – Will we let them dry out ?
A resounding green fingered NO!!
