The weather was fine ,a nice bit of breeze ,although we could do with some rain, the ground was quite difficult to work with .
We started out by  getting volunteer #1  preparing a nice little area which we then planted shallots in ,which had been started off inputs by the volunteers children  back in early March.
Aruntha managed to get some great sketches of the events of the day .
We got the children planting some more crops in pots to start them off ,including ,peas, mustard ,parsnips turnips, onions and a variety of flowers .

The children were in their element carefully sowing the seeds under the guidance of volunteer parent.

The compost heap got a good turning over by dedicated member of the team.
Another active volunteer # 4  got t o work giving the slowly establishing fruit  trees some gentle weeding and liquid feed.

Parent volunteer  and  family got to work on clearing an area ,which they  put some peas in ,they are happy to watch them grow and develop over the next few months.

We enjoyed water ,fruit and energy bars as the day stretched mid afternoon  .It was left to the youngsters to do the watering which became quite a splash full experience for us all.
We checked the tools and equipment over ,we decided we need a stronger placard for our banner which will be sorted in the next week .
We had a great day and the plot is taking shape nicely.
We all agreed more work will be done next week and we’ll into the summer…
