We had the pleasure of being invited to participate in SHINE community project.
This was exiting for the W.C.A as we could showcase some of the activities that we have been working in for the last few years.
The Community fridge project was well received and new members of the community got an understanding of the principles of the Community Friendly Fridge, free fresh food available to all of the community.
We also included one of our education activities in the form of a short film highlighting the values of locally sourced food and the impact on the environment.
Another one of our trademarks was on display in the form of the art and crafts featuring Aruntha’s Printing a nature in our hearts workshop, which the children especially enjoyed.
We had the luck to enjoy some great food throughout the day, especially the cake’s which were delicious.
There also were great games and activities to enjoy during the day .
We would like to thank all involved in this great event , and would be delighted to participate in further community engagements in the near future.
