The WCA once again rose to the occasion , appearing live on air on Wycombe Sound hosted by PIPPA on Thursday, 12th October 2017 from 7.00 pm to 8.00pm.

DIWALI Festival was the theme for their debate ( a regular slot is assured ! ). GEORGE HARRISON’S ‘MY SWEET LORD ‘ kicked off the show beautifully transcending multi faiths in his unique effortless style.

SHANTHI gave a insight into the history of the WCA and its’ ethos that of human capital , shared values , art, cuisine and enduring friendship.

CULTURE CLUB’S KARMA CHAMELION gave an idea of shades of colour, camouflage and hope .

DEVI gave a version of Dewali through the festival of lights.

KAMALESH gave us a description in TAMIL translated by ARUNTHA.

PIPPA got an alternative vision of GIRL POWER. ARUNTHA gave a great description of what the Hindu temple are like – offering a visit for PIPPA whenever she is available.

TRANSGLOBAL UNDERGROUND gave us an alternative spin on the SITAR , dancy style.

Of course, the values and topic of food was on the menu SPICY DONUTS, CHICK PEA SALAD and the mischievous CHILLI , which PIPPA now swears by !!

ANNE explained the use of fireworks in the process of celebration , also how her mother advised her to look at the moon and pray.

TRANSGLOBAL UNDERGROUND gave us a BO DIDDLEY beat style makeover of the SITAR and dance.

VERONICA in her own meticulous way delivered some enlightening and haunting poetry . The first master piece called DEWALI was written by DEVI’S daughter especially for the occasion . also a profound philosophical insight into pupil of the eye ‘OLD HOUSE’ conjured up images of souls lost and found and rekindled in the depth and intimacy of some old haunts . Contrast was offered through 2 poems , the first of DARK , the second of BRIGHT …brilliant .

PIPPA masterfully encapsulated all the input into JOHN LENNON’S IMAGINE .

The ladies had broken their radio duck and promised to return for REMEMBRANCE day ….

LOUIS ARMSTRONG (Satchmo) left us in on doubt that we live in a WONDERFUL WORLD !!

Thank you all.
